The ten individually designed Feature Rooms, each with their own distinct elegance and individual charm, are generously proportioned and named after some of Oxford's famous colleges, complete with college emblem on the doors. The rooms are furnished to the highest standard, with all the amenities of the guest rooms yet with many thoughtful extras.

Painstaking care has been taken in the selection of the rooms' handmade furniture and furnishings to ensure a feeling of intimacy, warmth and comfort throughout your stay. Hand-picked fabrics and wall coverings from Europe, together with super-king beds and en suite bathrooms featuring white Italian marble, create a relaxing and homely feel.

The largest of the Feature Rooms is the Merton Suite, with a private sitting room, separate bedroom and en suite bathroom complete with a separate bath and shower.

Somerville
This delightful room features a traditional green and white floral design accessorised by linen curtains with blue, green and aubergine auricular flowers. The half-tester canopy over the super-king bed is lined with a subtly contrasting French check. The television is discreetly hidden within an elegant walnut cabinet while botanical prints on the walls and a comfy armchair complete the look. The room has an attractive en suite bathroom with bath and shower.

Keble
Warm, vibrant and full of colour, this classic room has a half-tester super-king bed and is decorated in aqua and pink complemented by chintz curtains depicting a 17th-century tulip design. The half-tester canopy is lined with a delicate French check. Thoughtful touches include a comfortable chair for relaxation, matching walnut furniture and a walnut cabinet containing the television.

Worcester
This room has a neoclassical feel, with its classic French wall coverings and fabrics. With a super-king bed, accented by a half-tester canopy, the room's soft blue and pale yellow design is complemented by blue and cream curtains and a delicate blue and stone-coloured French check in the bed canopy lining. A round table, comfortable chairs and high-quality walnut furniture provide additional comfort. The white-tiled bathroom has an Italian marble vanity unit and a bath and shower with an oversized showerhead.

Trinity
A striking room with walls covered in a warm pink and cream French fabric, matched by curtains in the same colour and contrasted by a pink check material lining the half-tester over the super-king bed. A walnut cabinet, discreetly hiding the television, is matched by attractive bedside units, and the room is large enough to also easily accommodate two comfortable armchairs.

Exeter
This enchanting room is on two levels, with a small staircase leading down into the bedroom area. A snug haven, the walls are covered in red and cream American toile with matching curtains, and the super-king bed is headed with a corona in the same fabric and lined with a French check. A pristine white bathroom, with bath and shower and featuring white Italian marble, completes the ingredients for a romantic getaway.

Lincoln
This room features a timeless, classical design in a sophisticated green and pale cream leaf trellis that creates a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Contrasting French linen curtains in yellow and cream stripes with small bunches of roses in a geometric design pair well with the floral print wall hangings. The super-king bed has a half-tester canopy, and the room has well-crafted walnut furniture and comfortable chairs. Pembroke
With its aqua and cream toile de Jouy walls and matching linen curtains, this room is the perfect place to relax and unwind. With more than a touch of opulence and theatre, this attic room features large wooden beams and is decorated in a dramatic aubergine and beige, with the room's centrepiece the super-king bed and its draped canopy creating the feel of an Arabian tent. Curtains with large poppies in deep purple together with a trompe l'oeil urn of flowers in the window alcove give the room a seductive feel, creating a haven away from the pressures of everyday life. The large bathroom is finished in white Italian marble, with dual sinks and a skylight over the bath and shower.

Merton
The largest of the Feature Rooms, Merton is a distinctive room with red walls and vibrant decor and offers a separate bedroom and sitting room. The bedroom features an antique William IV period four-poster bed dressed in a striking linen design of red poppies and green foliage with curtains to match. At the foot of the bed, a large remote-controlled ottoman discreetly conceals a television.

Displaying charming antiques, the separate sitting room features a comfortable sofa, two armchairs, a coffee table and an antique writing desk that is embellished with a delicate floral motif while the television is hidden from view in a walnut cabinet.

The large bathroom features white Italian marble surrounding the hand basin and at both ends of the bath. There is a separate shower with an oversized showerhead.
